To more accurately reflect the kind of treatment we provide we have changed the name of our program to Stress Solutions of Long Island. Bill Solz LCSW, CASAC - Director
As a licensed certified social worker and credentialed alcohol and substance abuse counselor he has helped individuals and families overcome problems and regain control of their lives. He specializes in stress reduction and trauma, where he is able to successfully implement his full cadre of treatment modalities to promote healing. He is certified inEMDR and has also developed a dual expertise in Thought Field Therapy and the Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy. In addition, he has more than 25 years of experience working with children and adolescents in diagnostic, residential, and school settings. He is also currently serving as an adjunct professor at Adelphi University's Graduate School of Social Work. In addition he is a certified anger resolution therapist who has been able to successfully treat both court mandated and non mandated clients. He is also trained in domestic violence and is currently the director of CHANGES! a male batterers intervention program.
Simone Solz Leo,LMSW, is a bilingual Spanish speaking social worker who received her graduate degree from Fordham University. Simone has been practicing social work for 7 years, working with children, adolescents, adults and families in an array of settings. She also provides anger management counseling and utilizes stress reducing techniques such as Thought Field Therapy and other breathing techniques. Simone is currently employed by YES Community Counseling Center as an elementary school social worker. Simone is also a certified yoga instructor for children and teens. She is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers, the Long Island Volunteer Center and the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.
