Prostate Testimonial

April 27, 2010

I have been leading a prostate cancer support group under the auspices of Integrated Medical Professionals on a twice monthly basis. I had invited Bill Solz to present to our group on stress reduction. What followed was an extremely informative and entertaining hour in which the members became more attuned to their particular issues, as well as stress in general. In addition he led our group through an experiential exercise in Thought Field Therapy, a very quick acting and effective stress reduction treatment modality.

I felt this interactive session was extremely helpful to my group on several levels. Through both his engaging style and implementation of a “carousel of learning”, he was able to evoke full member participation from a group that has been rather reticent about exploring their particular issues related to prostate cancer. He was able to evoke many of their concerns from not only how to find a doctor to some of their new found limitations and anxieties. It should be mentioned that one of my goals for the meeting was for him to help engender more member participation which Bill clearly accomplished. The session also included sensitizing the group to how their new found health issues can further impact their levels of stress and its connection to their emotions, relationships, and impact on daily living. We also explored more traditional ways of coping with stress as well.

What proved to be the real highlight of the session was his introducing Thought Field Therapy to our group. Although it was initially met with some guardedness by the group his utilization of a volunteer and then his subsequently including all the members who were desirous of participating in it, clearly sold them, and me! Some of their responses included feeling more calm and relaxed. I was also able to observe the difference it made in how it promoted member ease.

In summary, Bill Solz clearly made a valuable contribution to my group. He was able to quickly energize and mobilize our group, all the while further sensitizing them to issues pertaining to their health. His introduction of Thought Field Therapy also proved to be very easily learned and extremely user friendly as evidenced by their feedback. I am planning to have Bill come to another group that I run in the near future.
